Christmas Meal

The Gatehouse, White Cross, Lancaster.
Saturday 6th December 2003, 7pm.

The meal has been booked for 26 initially, partners are welcome, but we will need some of the money, in fact, all of the money, asap. Places allocated on a first come, first served basis, but if we end up with more than 26, we'll see what we can do to squeeze everyone in... The more the merrier!

The intention is to take all of the money for the meal in advance, and individually sort out drinks on the night. We don't want any *ahem* shortfalls on the food bill this year! Joking aside, coppering up at the end of a meal like this can really take the edge off the fun, especially after a few Stellas.

That is why we're doing it, right? Fun?

Slow roasted shoulder of lamb with lemon, white wine & garlic served with a light jus

Pan Roasted Guinea Fowl

Served with pomegranate & spinach

Baked Sea Bream

Fillet of sea bream, oven baked with herbs & served on a bed of black olive mash

Hamilton Squash

Oven baked butternut squash filled with mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, basmati rice & herbs

Salmon Fillet

Pan-fried fillet of salmon served with hot pepper marmalade & a crème fraiche raita

Rib Eye Steak

Served pink or well done, topped with dolcelatte cheese & served with a rich port jus

Brie & Bacon Chicken Breast

Breast of chicken filled with brie, wrapped in smokey bacon & topped with a creamy white wine sauce
